Cocktails Based on Grenadine Syrup

The collection of cocktails with grenadine syrup began its history in the debut publication of the progenitor of Tiki culture in The New York Times in 1908. As with other publications, it approved the classic scheme for creating the Planter’s Punch and similar punches: five components – sourness, sweetness, strength, weakness and the often passed over “fifth element” – a spiciness which gave the complete taste.
