Cocktail recipe French mulled wine
- Place a chopped apple wedge and a large strawberry into a milk pitcher
- Add 2 stripes of orange zest and one piece of star anise, one clove and one cinnamon stick
- Pour in 1.75 oz of apple juice, 1.75 oz of honey syrup, 1.75 oz of tawny port and 7 oz of dry red wine
- Stir while heating, but do not bring to a boil
- Pour into a teapot
- Serve on a base with a candle to prevent the cocktail from cooling, with star anise to enhance the fragrance
