    Tawny port 1.75oz
    Dry red wine 7oz
    Honey syrup 1.75oz
    Apple juice 1.75oz
    Apple 0.75oz
    Strawberry 0.75oz
    Star anise 0.2oz
    Cinnamon sticks 0.15oz
    Cloves 0.03oz
    Orange zest 1piece

    Cocktail recipe French mulled wine

    • Place a chopped apple wedge and a large strawberry into a milk pitcher
    • Add 2 stripes of orange zest and one piece of star anise, one clove and one cinnamon stick
    • Pour in 1.75 oz of apple juice, 1.75 oz of honey syrup, 1.75 oz of tawny port and 7 oz of dry red wine
    • Stir while heating, but do not bring to a boil
    • Pour into a teapot
    • Serve on a base with a candle to prevent the cocktail from cooling, with star anise to enhance the fragrance
